Case Study

Middle Management Recruitment

The Client- A multi-national client with global presence but a very recent entrant into the Qatar market.
The Background- Our client was looking for a Investor relations manager reporting the Head of Investor relations.
This was one of the earliest attempts made by our client to identify a senior Qatari professional. There were internal challenges associated with setting the right expectations of the width of work that can be handled by a Qatari national and the target industries. People Dynamics helped settle these internal concerns before getting a clear mandate to start the search.
People Dynamics approach
People Dynamics used the generic job description and inputs from meeting with the hiring manager to develop an ‘ideal candidate profile’ for this role. Considering the challenges in using JD’s developed for such roles in other parts of the world for Qatar and specific industry target requirements of the hiring manager, this profile was extremely useful in executing the mandate.
We used a multi-pronged sourcing approach to identify 5 potential candidates. Face to face meetings were conducted by a senior recruiter with extensive experience of having worked with Qatari nationals to evaluate the candidates. Queries that the candidates had on the work environment and certain job responsibilities were addressed at this stage itself. A short-list of 3 candidates was presented to the client. The final selection was made from this list by the client.
People Dynamics also assisted the candidate and client with agreeing to the package offered and in various acclimatization activities before on-boarding.
The impact
The placement was highly successful and the candidate is a top contributor with our client.
